This is a new erection of a 2-storey GCB with an attic floor and basement. Sited near the lush Botanic Gardens, this Good Class Bungalow was a tribute to the organic philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright. The design balanced grand proportions with a tropical soul, spanning three storeys and a sprawling basement. The architect crafted this 1,300sqm residence to feel both monumental and deeply connected to its natural surroundings.
The architecture blended natural stone and timber-effect textures with accents of vintage-coloured glass, a nod to mid-century charm. These elements were woven into a sophisticated framework that prioritised light and ventilation. The result was a “modern classical” sanctuary that didn’t just sit on the land, but belonged to it—built to age beautifully alongside the neighbouring UNESCO gardens.
