This is a new erection of a semi-detached house consisting of 2 storeys with a basement and an attic floor. Inspired by the iconic work of Luis Barragán, this semi-detached house is a masterclass in the intersection of frames and planes. Perched on a gentle slope overlooking the neighbourhood, the architecture played with the concept of “mystery and reveal”. From the front, the house appeared as a solid, wall-like structure with a hidden entrance to ensure absolute privacy for the family. It was a bold, minimalist statement that kept the world at bay.

Once inside, the heavy architecture dissolves into a completely transparent experience. Every room is designed to open toward the back, where an unblocked view awaits. The rear of the home celebrated tropical living, with expansive glass walls that led directly to a lush, turfed garden. This transition from a private, protective façade to a wide-open, airy retreat created a sanctuary where the family could enjoy nature in total seclusion.
